It took half a year but Shane Philips is now ready to musically express his return from Africa and all the experiences he was witness to. When asked “What was it like?” the only response he could offer at the time was “Amazing!”. From the top of Kilimanjaro to the savanna’s of the Serengeti, from bombs blasting in Nairobi to the rock churches of Ethiopia, Philips knew he was now living. “Everyday Africa is calling me back and it’s only a question of when. Right now I believe its time to write something prolific, step beyond what i know and leap into the depths of music through the eyes and ears of life. That’s music from the heart and soul.”
